Color images

FOR FULL-COLOR IMAGES

 * This is a judgement call between using GIF and JPEG. Look at your artwork. Do you see lots of solid colors, and very few shadows and gradients? (example: a Peanuts Sunday comic) Or do you like the "graphic novel" style, and use every airbrushing trick imaginable? If you have simple, solid colors and clean lines, try using GIF, and follow the above instructions for BLACK AND WHITE images. Substitute 32 colors for 16 in STEP 2. You will get a pleasing image.
 * If your artwork is a rich mélange of shadows and hues, a GIF image is your worst nightmare and mine. Save your images as JPEG, and keep the quality at 60-70%.
